Hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts gathered for the annual ‘Bike Blessing' today. It's all part of Motorcycle Awareness Month. Every year riders come together for bike safety training and to gear up for the upcoming biking season.
Organizers say in Alaska with the combination of 4x4 vehicles and a large motorcycle-riding population, it's important to be responsible.
"Motorcycling in general is changing the image a lot, you know, and so people are trying to be responsible and this is a great way to be able to do it, to be able to come together for something like this," said Richard Irwin, organizer.
American Bikers Aimed Toward Education is one of the organizers of this annual event. Organizers say they are committed to promoting motorcycle awareness, as well as providing training programs.
